2024 Events

Our third annual conference was our most energizing yet in highlighting the urgency behind the problem of increasing hospital prices. We continued to address the anticompetitive power dynamics that keep hospital prices unsustainably high and rising, while giving employers, unions, and individuals no choice but to pay them.

Our featured speakers included keynote Zack Cooper, Director of Health Policy at Yale’s Tobin Center for Economic Policy; Erin C. Fuse Brown, Professor of Health Services, Policy & Practice, Brown University School of Public Health; Shawn Gremminger, President & CEO of National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions; Peter V. Lee, Senior Scholar with Stanford University’s Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC); Rosa Novo, Administrative Benefits Director at Miami-Dade County Public Schools; Sophia Tripoli, Senior Director of Health Policy at Families USA; and Lindsey Vigoda, New York Director for Small Business Majority. 

We were also thrilled to welcome special guest speakers Ryan Danks, Director of Civil Enforcement at the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, and Reed Showalter, Senior Policy Advisor at the National Economic Council.
